Nicole took the time to fill out our short questionnaire, so we could really get to know her, as a thank you for all the hard work she does crafting her magical photos! Make sure you click her ticket above and follow her on IG and show her some much deserved love! Without further adieu.... let's dive in!
Question 1: What sparked your love of reading? (Give me all the deets!)
Reading has always been a form of escapism for me. I have a high-stress job as a veterinary technician and it's a great way to decompress at the end of the day. Falling Kingdoms by Morgan Rhodes is the book that reignited my passion in adulthood and caused me to discover bookstagram.
Question 2: What book could you read over and over again and never get tired of?
The Illuminae Files hands down. Physical, audio, or both at the same time.
Question 3: When did you start blogging? For books or otherwise?
I started my bookstagram around 5 years ago.
Question 4: WHY did you start Bookstagramming (or Book Blogging/Toking etc.) in particular? What drives you (other than the love of books LOL)? The community? The creative side? The review writing part? Taking photos?
It started as the creative side. It's a great creative outlet for me. But it continued because of the community.
Question 5: Name a book you think doesn’t get enough hype in any of the na/adult fantasy/pnr romance genres! Indie or mainstream publishing!
I will always recommend an indie book first so I'll go with Oath Taker by Audrey Grey
Question 6: What are you currently reading? Bonus: What’s up next?
I'm reading The Crown of Gilded Bones and Son of the Storm via kindle, Five Dark Fates via audio, and For the Wolf via physical ARC.
Question 7: What’s your favorite sub-genre of fantasy? (References if you need them: https://www.papermythsmedia.com//genreandheatlevelguides)
Sci-Fi!
Question 8: How about your favorite tropes? (Examples: Enemies to lovers? Fated Mates, Love Triangle, Fairytale Retelling, Assassins, Pirates, Thieves etc.)
Pirates and Enemies to lovers
Final Question: Last but not least… Who’s your wildest dream unicorn author to work with/receive an arc of their book/do a tour with?
I'm not really sure! I've worked with most of the authors I'd love to in the past or currently!
